Graston Technique®

We are pleased to provide patients with an innovative and proven approach to the diagnosis and treatment of connective soft tissue injuries.  Graston Technique®

is performed with patented stainless-steel instruments designed to detect and treat soft-tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation in order to reduce pain and restore function. When connective tissue, such as muscle, ligaments, or tendons, becomes restricted or scarred, it can result in pain, tenderness, loss of flexibility and reduced range of motion. It is not unusual to find a restriction in one part of the body that produces pain and dysfunction in another area. Strengthening and stretching are combined with Graston Technique® to restore the patient to their optimal level of function and activity.

Both Brian Looney,

DPT, DC, CSCS

and

Terry Srokose,

DC, CSCS

are certified

Graston Technique® practitioners.

Diane Disney Marathon

Congratulations to our very own Diane Rondeau, LMT. Diane just completed the Walt Disney Marathon 2012. Way to go, Diane! We are all so very proud of you.

Training for and completing a marathon takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Diane was smart enough to benefit from all the great services here at AITC to ensure her hard work was not derailed by pain and injury. From physical therapy with Brian Looney and chiropractic care with Terry Srokose, to massage therapy with Jeanie Gorski, acupuncture with John Lazott, and sports recovery supplementation from Kristen O'Dell, Diane had a team of trained practitioners supporting, advising and treating her on her odyssey to success at the Walt Disney Marathon 2012.

Are you in training? Want to perform at your peak without pain or injury slowing you down? Call the Advanced Injury Treatment Center today to see how we can help you reach your goals!

Choose Your Healthcare Providers Wisely

We can save you time and money!

The rising cost of healthcare has made it increasingly difficult for employers to provide benefit packages for their employees that don't include high out-of-pocket co-pays and/or deductibles. Self employed individuals may find that it is nearly impossible to afford a low out-of-pocket plan. This rise in costs to the patient is forcing many people who may have injuries or ailments to delay treatment or to completely forego the treatment they may desperately need.

Chiropractic Tops in New Neck Pain Study

   Neck Pain

ABC News reported last week on a new neck pain study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. The study compared the effectiveness of 3 forms of treatment (chiropractic, exercise, and medication) on patients with recent-onset neck pain. The results concluded that chiropractic care and exercise were almost 3 times more effective than just taking medication.

Dr. Lee Green, professor of family medicine at the University of Michigan, sums up the results of the study best. "Neck pain is a mechanical problem, and it makes sense that mechanical treatment works better than a chemical one." That is the exact premise on which Advanced Injury Treatment Center was founded. We continually evolve that basic philosophy with the most recent and effective manual therapies available today.
